Creamy Pear Lemonade

Creamy Pear Lemonade

My family is a beverage family. We love drinks. Not beer or wine, and actually not a lot of soda either. Water is great, but there are times when one wants something more exciting than water. Don’t get me wrong, water is one of the best beverages ever. Cooling and so good for the body. But sometimes, no often, we want something to drink that really excites the taste buds and adds to the whole food experience.

I am blessed to live in Arizona where citrus grows prolifically. I have a wonderful lemon tree in my yard. I forget how blessed I am to have a lemon tree until I travel and have to pay up to a $1 for one lemon. I squeeze gallons worth, and share hundreds of lemons during lemon season. I make sure I have plenty to last the whole year. I actually freeze them in cup size containers with lids. One cup makes one gallon of lemonade. The containers can stack and I can fill the freezer with lots of them. I just pull one cup out at a time and I am ready to create great lemonades.

My recipe for lemonades is “Everything equals one Gallon”. Meaning all my recipes are designed to make one gallon. I like to teach in formulas, that way you are not just stuck with one recipe, but can create with what you have on hand.

Lemonade can and should be exciting and fun. Cooling and yet an experience. Sweet and savory. The possibilities are endless. I love it when people take a taste and their faces light up. Often times, there is doubt when I place a new one on the table, but after the first sip they are convinced.

This recipe is amazing. Lemon and fresh ripe pears make it refreshing and different. I love using Natural Bliss Sweet Cream Creamer. It’s amazing. For some reason the Sweet Cream one really suits the pears. I have tried them all and this one is my favorite for this beverage.

Using the formula from this recipe you can create many different lemonades. Try peaches, cherries, strawberries, cranberries, the list is endless.
